Stingrays - Stroke Introduction

In our Stingray Classes, we introduce children to all four strokes by breaking down the technical elements of how to perform the four strokes; i.e. Body Positioning, Streamlining, Leg Kicking, Arm Pulling and so on.  Children will also develop skills in sculling, treading water and complete rotation as well gain endurance swimming the length of the pool.

In these classes we continue to encourage and develop the growth of your child's water confidence, whilst enhancing swimming and water safety skills and promoting sensible behaviours and respect for the water.  This level, as with all our child swim levels, is set by ability rather than by age.

Swim England stages can be difficult to achieve termly so we ensure children do not get disheartened by awarding them with our own Little Swim Club certificates free of charge at the end of each term (Easter, Summer and Christmas) and these are a very important part of our achievements process.

In addition to our own assessments and in-house certificates the Swim England nationally recognised badge and certificate if achieved can be purchases for £5.50 per set.  Progress may be seen by logging into your own personal client hub. Please email the office to place an order.

All our Child Classes are half an hour long and are £15.00 per class payable termly in advance.

As we operate to the Hampshire Schools calendar for our term dates, our lengths of terms vary throughout the year.  Please see our Term Dates section for each forthcoming term
