Aqua Zumba - Thursdays 7.00pm
Aqua Zumba is a dance party in the pool and is suitable for everyone! Use the resistance of the water to sculpt and tone, burn those calories and dance without getting hot and sweaty! Be warned Aqua Zumba is highly addictive!
There is less impact on your joints during an Aqua Zumba class so you can really let loose. Water creates natural resistance, which means every step is more challenging and helps tone your muscles. The big advantage if you’re overweight and just getting into exercise is that your weight’s supported so you can do much more in the water. Our upbeat classes will ensure you are boosting your energy levels and fitness, getting a top workout, and having a great time. You will also increase your stamina, tone up all areas of your body, as well as bust some stress!
Recreating your classic Zumba moves, Aqua Zumba is a challenge for your muscles and as water is approximately 800 times denser than air, you’ll work harder. This total whole body workout, strengthens core muscles and the increased resistance means an increase in muscle tone strength and endurance levels. This is a fun but challenging water based workout - all with less strain on your joints and muscles.
Aqua Movement - Tuesdays 1.30pm
Exercise has long been recommended for people with arthritis, and different forms of exercise in warm water have been found to have various benefits for arthritic hip and knee patients, including decrease in pain and stiffness, and improvement of function. Clinical experience suggests exercise in warm water has a number of benefits over and above land-based exercises due to the buoyancy of the water reducing the amount of load going through a joint. These are low-impact classes with an emphasis on aiding increased mobility, strength, flexibility, coordination, circulation and fitness.
